acli

The ACLI — Selbsthilfewerk für interkulturelle Arbeit e. V. (acli e. V.) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1985 by immigrants inspired by the Italian Christian Workers Movement (ACLI) in order to promote education, intercultural awareness, employment and social integration of young and elderly people with or without work, with and without migration background. The association gives continuity to a more than 30 years’ experience of ACLI’s vocational training institute enaip, well experienced in transnational and European projects and networking activities.

As migrant organisation we intend, in a highly professional way, to strengthen weak young and elderly people, especially with migration background, to promote their own cultural and professional competences and resources as well to raise awareness of necessary structural systemic change processes.

This work is organised in local projects and networks, educational, social and research and consultancy activities. Our staff has experience of managing transnational cooperation and management of networks with partners in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom.
