FDP-Protagonists in education (former Peoples’ Development Foundation) is a nongovernmental organization created in 1996, whose mission is that of offering socio-educational and professional integration opportunities for persons in situations of social risk, especially young persons. FDP has its headquarters in Ilfov county (Bucharest surroundings) and branches in three other locations: Arad, Cluj-Napoca and Dambovita (rural area). FDP has currently 33 employees and around 10 volunteers.  FDP has implemented between 2009-2015 eight projects financed by the European Social Fund, three projects financed by European Commission and two projects of cooperation for development financed by the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

FDP is member of AVSI Network an international network with headquarter in Italy which gathers 30 organizations, as well as Tandem Plus Network with the headquarter in France.
FDP is member of FOND Romania, the federations of ngos active in development cooperation.
